Hi, I’m Lexi Applebach! I grew up in the high desert of Reno, Nevada, but these days, I call the North of England home. I originally moved to Newcastle in 2024 for a Master’s in Cross-Cultural Communications and International Management, but what started as an academic adventure quickly turned into a permanent passion.
Now, I’m fully based in the UK, balancing life as a full time Travel Consultant, a freelance Wedding Coordinator, and an MBA candidate (Class of ’26). I also am still on the court competing as a semi-professional volleyball player for the Newcastle Knights.
I created The Wedding Scout because I saw an industry full of inspiration, but lacking in intel.
I spent four years as a Division I athlete, so I learned early on that a win isn’t just about what happens on game day—it’s about the grit and preparation beforehand. I apply that same discipline to weddings. I’ve traveled to 16 countries, navigated the complexities of expat life, and even found love with a fellow American here in the UK. I know firsthand the beautiful chaos of building a life—and a vision—across borders. I’m not here to give you generic advice. I’m here to give you the reality. From on-the-ground venue scouting to the questions you’re hesitant to ask, I help you navigate the process with clarity, grit, and a global perspective.
